SIZING FAQ
What size frame do I need?
When you frame a print you usually have a mat. A mat is the white (or whatever color you like) border made of a heavy cardstock.
So for reference: a print with a mat will need a frame one size larger.
Example: My print is 8x10" my mat is an 11x14" with an 8x10" opening and I put it in an 11x14" frame.
Are these standard sizes?
Yes and no.
Paintings aren't always the same ratio as a standard frame size. Yes, they will fit in standard frames. But no, the mats might not fit them just right. I always recommend getting a custom mat cut and then putting it in a standard frame. (Precut mats are hardly ever accurate anyway).
