Breakfast Watercolor on paper 13x17" 20.5x26.6" framed 2017 AVAILABLE, COLLECT NOW A little bit about the painting Breakfast was made during a season of life where a donut and a Redbull shared between friends was the stronghold in the storm, not to be dramatic. The Artsit by contemporary artist Amy Lewis is a glamorized look at ordinary life highlighting the things we take for granted. The Artist Oil on wood panel 40x30" 2026 SHOP PRINTS A little bit about the painting There are so many magical moments when art is getting created. They slip away in a moment never to be seen in the final artwork. This painting is a love note to those moments. It is a romanticization of being a painter who gets to experience color as it spreads out across the surface and glitters in the sunlight. This composition is not reality, but rather the feeling experienced when those magical moments grace us with their presence. Creating is costly but the beauty along the way fortifies us through the challenging seasons. More Oil Paintings shop prints Toast! Original Hand Painted T-shirt Reading! Amy Lewis' Great Expectations is a watercolor painting set in Bluebeard coffee house in Tacoma Washington. Great Expectations Watercolor on paper 19.5" x 26" 27x34" framed 2016 NFS A little bit about the painting Great Expectations was the first large scale painting of mine that I considered to be professional . It represents a milestone and holds a lot of sentimental value. It is a painting about the weight of expectations when you're young and particularly when you're fresh out of high school. Abundance by contemporary artist Amy Lewis is a glamorized look at ordinary life highlighting the things we take for granted. abundance Oil on wood panel 18x24" 2023 COLLECTED. SHOP PRINTS A little bit about the painting We are familiar with the image of a cup overflowing as a metaphor for blessings. And I hope we are aware of how many people in the world still don’t have easy access to clean water. Abundance is both that common metaphor and also a reminder of the literal gift of hot and cold water whenever we want it. In seasons where I have very little disposable income I find that again and again God provides exactly what I need and so much more. So many of the frustrations I deal with are self imposed from doubt. I fear xyz, and I doubt God’s provision. But I’ve always been wrong. I do walk through valleys. But I’ve never been alone and things have always turned out okay. Usually better than okay. Our time is so different than God’s time. But he knows the desires of our hearts and what is best for us. His timing is always perfect. His provision is always abundant. “For he draws up the drops of water; they distill his mist in rain, which the skies pour down and drop on mankind abundantly.” (Job 36:27-28) More Oil Paintings shop prints The Artist- Giclée Archival Print W.W. Amy Lewis' Don't Look Up is a watercolor painting reflecting on the covid-19 pandemic. Don't Look Up feaures a man in a velvet suit with his head in one hand and his phone in the other. don't look up Watercolor on paper, mounted on wood panel 24x30" 2022 AVAILABLE, COLLECT NOW A little bit about the painting Don't Look Up was born out of the pandemic. It reflects my feelings (and I think global feelings) surrounding discourse online and the constant stream of bad news that we endured during that period. The title was taken from the movie of the same title. The themes of the movie, Don't Look Up fit into the pandemic experience so well that's it's a little frightening.
